Delaying
Dec 2nd, the day of the procrastinators. Yes, I have sadly been categorized amongst those laziness-seekers whom I had hated ever since I was enrolled into the high school cricket team. My coach brought me on board the school team after telling me that I have to exhibit the nimbleness in the game just like the most agile player in our team, Hasan Sajjad. Anyways, that is a story for another time in future. For now, I am cursing my self for procrastinating in studies for so long and here I am awake at 2.40 in the night trying to study and finish up my graduate school essays and end of the semester projects. But wait I am still not doing that and instead I have begun to add the third entry on my blog after over a month of the second."Have to get back to work," the nightwalker inside me exclaims. Alas, a short entry this time; I must call it a post!

Laziness Prevails
It is a difficult task to stay focused. I have been trying to do that since today morning but all the efforts in vain. Writing even a single word for my Technical Writing Class's proposal assignment got so much exhaustive for me because I could not bring all the momentum and energy to focus on the material and just... start writing. I have already missed the deadline and yet I am not getting the drive to push myself to get done with the response to this RFP. Yes, my professor has criticized my cover letter for the proposal, saying that it looks more like a Sales Brochure than an RFP response.
Same question popped up in my mind: what the heck is an RFP? It is the abbreviation for Request for Proposal made by companies to prompt the suppliers to submit proposals about their services or products for company-specific application. It should have a list and the explanation of specific deliverable items, cost structure, timeline of implementation and constraints. In short it is a technical document describing a product or service from a marketing perspective.
The moment I sit down to make an proposal's outline describing the way I will be dividing my proposal into sections, the content I will be putting in each section and the illustrations that I plan to include, I start to feel dizzy and the attention-decisive needle of my mind's speedometer begins to wobble in all random directions; I am lost in day dreams.
With such a condition dominating my morning hours, I am now entering the phase of late afternoon on this pleasant Thursday here in NJ. As I enter my second post of my blog, I am praying that I revive my concentration and be able to retain it for an extended span. "After I get my sleep off course," a convincing voice from the back of my mind just murmured as I start to feel slothful again. arghhh
But here goes my first writing effort for today. So long laziness. I'm finally off to a start.
